We have compiled all the important information in one place for your convenience. Please refer to the FAQs below, and should you require any additional details, feel free to reach out to us.
In our culture of the Duala in Cameroon, a traditional wedding is more than just a ceremony. It’s a vibrant, soulful celebration of love, family, and heritage. It’s where families unite, elders give blessings, and age-old customs come to life through music, dance, and beautifully adorned attire.
• Passport: A passport valid for at least 6 months after arrival in Cameroon is required for all travellers.
• Visa: A visa is required for entry into Cameroon.
• Vaccination: Polio and Yellow fever are required.
Required For Entry:
• Yellow Fever Vaccination: A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all travelers aged one and older, including those departing Cameroon.
• Polio Vaccination: For visits longer than four weeks, proof of polio vaccination is also required.
Other Recommended Vaccinations:
• Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Poliomyelitis, Tetanus: These are generally recommended for travelers to Cameroon.
• Hepatitis B, Meningococcal Meningitis, Rabies, Typhoid: These are also considered for certain.
• Cholera: This is selectively advised for individuals at highest risk.

There are three major options:
(1) Receive your visa on Arrival in Douala through Pre-Enrollment:
You can conveniently apply for your visa upon arrival by completing the pre-enrollment process at this link.(https://evisacam.cm/ords/dl_portal/r/public_portal/home )
You’ll need to create an account on the website and provide the following:
• Passport photo
• Flight itinerary
• Vaccination document
• Invitation letter (which we will gladly provide)
• And application fees
You should receive a pre-enrollment document with a QR code that you will use to board your flight. On arrival, you will present your document to receive your visa on arrival in Douala.
If you have any questions or need assistance with the application, please do not hesitate to reach out to our wedding planner, Helpline Events.
(2) Apply for your visa at local Cameroonian embassy: Please find the local Cameroonian embassy of your country of residence (e.g., through online search), and apply following their provided guidance. Please be aware that the Cameroonian embassy in the US might not be the best in terms of service experience :)
(3) Apply for your visa using a third-party agency: There are online visa service firms that can help facilitate your visa application process. Feel free to use a reliable provider of your choice.
We kindly recommend option 1 and are happy to facilitate this process for you.
Cameroon is a tropical country, and it will be HOT and humid in December.🥵
We believe a mix of casual, and a few dressy items will serve you well.
We will arrange a custom-designed outfit for you, for the traditional wedding ceremony on December 26th. Once you RSVP, please reach out to our wedding planner Helpline Events to provide your measurements, and they will help coordinate the custom-made design of your outfit.
For the traditional wedding ceremony on December 27th we welcome your fashionable taste. The dress code is elevated Afro chic, in sunset colors. Please see examples of Afro chic outfits with sunset colors below:

We recommend you arrive on December 23rd as we have an exciting week planned for our special guests from all around the world.

We recommend booking early to secure your preferred option!
Yes you can! There are several great places where you can stay beyond the recommended timeline (e.g. Hotel Kadji in Douala) and we would be happy to provide recommendations on other activities past the wedding experience.
Yes, Douala is generally safe, especially in the areas where our wedding festivities will take place. Like traveling to any new destination, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings and take standard precautions. We recommend staying connected with the wedding group, following local guidance, and avoiding unnecessary solo adventures. We’ve planned everything with your comfort and safety in mind, and we can’t wait to celebrate together!
